When photographer and Your Shot member Logan Swayze and his wife spent two days in the Sahara in Morocco, they were inspired. “We absolutely fell in love with the simplicity of the landscape, and I wanted to capture the feeling of freedom the Sahara offers its guests,” he writes.

Because rubber sap flows best at night, tappers in Xishuangbanna, China, use headlamps to light the trees while they work, as shown in this time exposure. The latex drips into cups from incisions in the bark. A typical tree produces a few ounces’ worth of rubber a day.

A “casual stroll on the farm” afforded Your Shot member Sonia Sokhi the opportunity to make this photo of a frosty and colorful scene in Vӧlkermarkt, located in the Austrian province of Carinthia. In part because of its more than 200 lakes and captivating landscapes, Carinthia is known as the “Austrian Riviera.”

Your Shot member Fran Llano sought a new way to capture Kirkjufell, Iceland’s well-known stand-alone peak. “I’ve used these icicles on the frame just trying to get something different from this famous spot,” he says. The 1,519-foot (463-meter) mountain, shown here partially illuminated by the northern lights, is located on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland.

At a seaside facility in Beirut, Lebanon, “two old-time friends,” writes photographer Yasmina B., “enjoy life by the beach.” Once called the Paris of the Middle East, Beirut’s glamorous image was shattered by a 15-year civil war that ended in 1990. Rebuilding efforts have taken place in the decades since.

Iceland has been shaped by glacial and volcanic activity—the island was born of a volcanic eruption—and has more than a hundred volcanoes, about a third of which are considered active.

19 "Au Naturel". Photograph by Simon Roberts. In Munich, Germany, summer attracts sunbathers, clothed and otherwise, to the grassy banks of the Schwabinger Bach. The English Garden park opened in 1792 and is one of Europe’s largest. Its meadows have been popular with nudists since the 1970s.
